Medication and Miracles
My meds are needed...
FAITH AND MEDICATION

I take my meds. They help me manage my symptoms, allowing me to navigate each day with a bit more clarity and focus.
I read my Bible. It offers me comfort and guidance, helping me to reflect on my journey and find strength in my spirituality.
I believe in miracles. They are not just events out of the blue; they can manifest in the small, everyday moments we often overlook.
And I refuse to let anyone tell me those things can’t coexist. My faith and my health do not have to be at odds; they can enhance one another beautifully.
There’s a stigma in some faith circles that says if you’re really spiritual, you won’t need medication. This notion can be harmful and misleading, creating an unnecessary burden on many trying to navigate their spiritual and mental health.
But I believe God can work through doctors, prescriptions, and therapy just as powerfully as He works through prayer. Each avenue is a tool, a means, for our healing, and none should be dismissed.
Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. What works for one person may not work for another, and that’s perfectly okay.
For some, it’s instant. They experience a sudden shift that changes everything. For others, it’s daily—a slow, gradual journey of small victories and some setbacks.
And for me, it’s both—miraculous and medical. I experience those moments of divine intervention while also benefiting from modern medicine.
If you’re managing your mental health with both faith and treatment, you’re not compromising. You’re surviving. You’re stewarding your healing. It's an active process, one that requires intention and care.
And that’s holy. Recognizing the sacredness in our struggles and our healing journeys is a profound way to honor ourselves and our faith.
