I’ve thought the lie too many times:

“You’re too broken to be used by God.”

But here’s the truth:

God doesn’t use perfect people. He uses willing ones, those who, despite their flaws and struggles, open their hearts to His calling. Their imperfections become testimonies that shine brightly against the backdrop of His grace.

I’ve written blog posts with trembling hands, questioning every word and every thought. I’ve prayed with a racing heart, unsure of what the next moment held. I’ve shown up to church with tears still drying on my face, feeling both fragile and hopeful.

And every time, God met me there. In my moments of vulnerability, I found strength. In my doubts, I discovered faith. His presence became a refuge where I realized that I wasn’t alone in my struggles.

Your brokenness isn’t a barrier—it’s a bridge, a bridge that connects you to others who may be grappling with the same feelings of inadequacy or despair. It’s a bridge to empathy. To honesty. To healing. It allows us to share our stories and find solace in the shared human experience.

If you’ve ever felt disqualified by your diagnosis, let this be your reminder: You are not disqualified. You are Worthy, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the boundless love of a God who sees your worth beyond the scars. Embrace your journey and know that you are worthy of being used for His purpose, however imperfect you may feel.
